Grounding, Even In A Pinch, Is A Walk In The Park

The concept of spiritual grounding extends far beyond a barefoot walk in the park, though that is a great way to ground oneself for sure, the ion exchange alone is quite beneficial and should be done as often as possible!

Most grounding exercises start with taking a deep breath and aim to bring our thoughts back down to earth, instead of scattered in our personal cloud that flickers overhead. As we ground, it brings our thoughts closer to our bodies, reducing those flighty and aloof feelings, which can bring up our anxieties. That alone can lower our stress levels, while helping us to find clarity in our thoughts which can assist our steps forward at a steadier pace.

Grounding helps us to find the moment of now, as the great rock we live upon spins in an amazingly expansive galaxy, it is important to remember to plant our tiny feet on the ground! Connecting with the earth reminds us of the passage of time and the seasons around us. Feeling the soil, smelling the air, hearing the birds sing, all help us to relate with nature, as we are nature too. Flowing with nature can also help us to prepare for the days ahead without losing the time we have fretting over petty things.

When we start to feel that dirty, no good, low-vibing groove coming on, or off of someone else, it is important to unplug from moment and plug into Mother Nature! Drinking in nature's nutrients helps restore our personal energy and revves up those good-vibes quickly, like tossing back a strong Energy Espresso! It helps us to feel safe and secure, and also cleanses our root chakra, the foundation of energy that runs throughout our bodies. Best thing is, just thinking about nature can bring on those good effects, in a pinch.

Start with one deep breath and begin to ground yourself right now, find your personal balance with nature, and add this practice to your everyday habits. I suggest this first step be taken with bare feet.
